TREAT TB Guidelines for Preparation, Presentation, and Dissemination of Research FindingsThese guidelines are intended to ensure that the preparation of research reports and manuscripts and the dissemination of research findings generated through TREAT TB-related research activities conform with the expectations of TREAT TB and USAID and meet the requirements set forth in the USAID-approved TREAT TB Branding and Marking Plan. The guidelines also promote the sharing of important research-related information that can be used to highlight the positive research contributions made by TREAT TB partners and collaborators. Emphasis on QualityAll products generated by TREAT TB-related research activities intended for dissemination, presentation, or publication are expected to be of the highest quality in terms of scientific content, style, and appearance. All research protocols will undergo rigorous technical/peer reviews and must be reviewed by relevant national and organizational ethical review panels, as well as The Union’s Ethics Advisory Group. In addition to technical/peer and ethics reviews, all research protocols will be extensively edited. The translation of documents, when required, will be done by qualified, capable translation specialists. Manuscripts Submitted for PublicationManuscripts prepared due to the implementation of TREAT TB-related research activities should be submitted to appropriate peer-reviewed journals and bulletins for publication consideration. To ensure appropriate attribution to USAID and TREAT TB and to allow the TREAT TB coordinating team to monitor submitted and published manuscripts, the following general guidelines are to be followed:
“This study is made possible by the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and was implemented through the USAID-funded TREAT TB Initiative, managed by the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union). The contents are the responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of USAID or the Presentation/Dissemination of FindingsPresentation of information and findings generated through TREAT TB-related research activities at conferences and meetings is strongly encouraged, as is the dissemination of findings in the form of written reports, postings, and printed materials.
